Strolling the White City in 2008

A couple weeks ago I went on a tour of the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition fairgrounds, or at least, what's left of the fairgrounds. Today Jackson Park is a quiet, unassuming place, but if you look hard enough you can still see some remnants of the White City.

View of the former Palace of Fine Arts, now the Museum of Science and Industry, from the Wooded Island.

A tranquil place in the Osaka Gardens.
