In an effort to get more people inside the museum during the coldest days of the year, the Art Institute of Chicago is expanding free general admission to the entire month of February. AIC is also offering half-price admission to Becoming Edvard Munch which opens to the public on Feb. 14. While the Munch show is getting all the attention, there is another exhibition that should not be over-looked. Take the stairs down to the lower level to see some really spectacular portraits by Yousuf Karsh. The 100 photographs in this exhibition include such famous subjects as Ernest Hemingway, Georgia O’Keeffe, Albert Einstein, Winston Churchill, and Marian Anderson.Yousuf Karsh: Regarding Heroes
